Many stayed up top, though, to see how some of the Park’s original attractions had changed. No one was complaining though, as the dramatic escalators in the Transit Center’s Grand Hall were working perfectly carrying pedestrians back to ground level and the intricate terrazzo floors. Once there they’ll have to find another way down, though, because the axiom “what goes up must come down” apparently it doesn’t apply to gondola riders. Riders can now board a glass box at the corner of Fremont and Mission Street for a 30-second ride up to Salesforce Park level.
